On March 26, 2021, Bob was interviewed on expert practices for crisis and hostage negotiation following an armed robbery and police chase in the Boston area. Crisis negotiators failed in their attempt to persuade the fugitive to abandon a police cruiser he had stolen. In the end, police shot and killed the fugitive.
