Workshops
Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, Conflict Resilience, Facilitation, and Challenging Conversations
I offer tailored training programs in all of the above topics, drawing upon more than two decades of teaching on the full-time faculty of Harvard Law School where I founded the school’s award-winning Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program and oversaw the expansion of the flagship Negotiation Workshop from a class of 72 to a class of 168 students with a long waiting list.
At Harvard Law School, I was awarded the prestigious Sacks-Freund Teaching Prize, awarded by the graduating class to a member of the faculty who best exemplifies excellence in teaching, mentoring, and general contributions to the life of the school. I was also a finalist for this award three additional times, an extraordinary feat given that the faculty comprises more than 100 of the leading scholars and teachers in the world.
Most of my workshops are for one- or two- days although I also offer workshops that are shorter and longer, depending on a client’s needs and goals.
In addition for some long-term clients, I have developed a sequence of progressively advancing one day courses, ranging from Negotiation Fundamentals to Multiparty Negotiation & Conflict Resolution, to Managing Challenging Conversations.
These programs are extremely dynamic, combining short lectures, interactive exercises, and structured debriefs. Using materials developed at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, these workshops draw upon the latest interdisciplinary research in negotiation, dispute resolution, decision-making, and group process.
